Helen has been involved with Community Radio since 2004. She first discovered it in hospital, surfing the stations and loved the homely feel. She then applied to become an announcer with Hobart FM where she hosted a popular show called ‘Tassie Experiences’ for 17 years. Concentrating on Tasmanian Music, live performers and events.Helen then moved to Huon and Kingston FM. Living in Margate Helen tends to concentrate on the Kingston side, bringing balance to the station. Her love of gardens and floral art, along with singing and radio fills her life with joy and contentment which she likes to share.You can listen to Helen’s shows on Wednesday 12 – 3pm for her ‘Musical Alphabet’, and then her ‘Local Vocal’ from Wednesdays at 3 – 4pm.
