HuonFM is a community-based, community run broadcasting station based at Geeveston in the Huon Valley and serving the Huon Valley and Kingborough Council areas. The station is responsible for providing a service relevant to its community and invites feedback from individuals and community groups within its licence area.
As a member of the community you are invited to become involved as a member, a volunteer or to provide information relevant to the operation of the station, programming, standards, areas where HuonFM is NOT serving a need or NOT providing programs for any minority, disadvantaged or unrepresented group in the community.
Community involvement is essential in ensuring that HuonFM continues to represent its community of interest and encourages members of the community to participate in the operations and programming of HuonFM.

Management Committee
The Operation of HuonFM on a day-to-day basis is under the control of the Station Manager. The Station Manager reports to, and acts on, directions from the Management Committee.
The Management Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting, normally held in October each year. The positions available, and their currently elected members are as follows:-

We are seeking nominations from volunteers, members and the community to develop a strong working sub-committee system. The Australian Communications and Media Authority is ensuring that community broadcasting stations respond to their community and encourage the community to become involved in programming and management.
